Addressing The Reddit Policing, Censorship, and Stalking

[Specifically pertaining to the people who run the r/elenataber subreddit]

 

June 20th, 2026: I removed my original blog, Elena-Taber-Snark, from Tumblr. By my own choice. The reasoning for this was that people on the r/elentaber subreddit had been stealing my content, reposting it without credit, and bashing me as if I were the worst person in the world for doing the exact same thing that they do. Now, in all fairness, I would be fine with them using any sources that I got and reposting them if they mentioned where they found them (such as: I found this on Athena's blog), but they didn't do that. Instead, they defaulted to stealing the content, reposting it, having basically the same opinions I had, while at the same time talking about how toxic and unhinged I was. That's where I draw the line. Stealing my content that they obviously want to have but hating me for having it. Here is an excerpt of the post I put up addressing this:

What I can't stand for and won't stand for is the fact that these same people on that same subreddit steal a ton of my content, repost it there, don't credit me, then go out of their way to trash me in the comments. They talk about how I'm a stalker, and I take it too far, and I'm obsessed this, that , and the other. They accuse me of being other people (who I'm not) and talk about me like I'm a loser who has no life. Which makes no sense considering they are on my blog 24/7 waiting for me to post information that I get so they can steal it and discuss it on their stupid subreddit as they found it so they can also make fun of me. I have decided that I'm not going to do their work for them because if they hate me but want to steal my content, why would I?}

 

Another issue I was forced to address at that time was the topic of my private Discord. A place that I had made after the people of the r/elenataber subreddit had my original (and private) subreddit banned because they couldn't stand not being able to police what I or other people said in there. I decided I would make another safe space to discuss the same things. Well, people from their subreddit were sent in as spies. They fully admitted to doing. Not only publicly on their subreddit but within my Discord as well. Here is the proof of that:

At that point, there was a massive concern about spies in my Discord, which begs the question of why these people felt entitled and obsessed enough with what my group had to say (in private, mind you) that they felt the need to be in there and report on it to their public subreddit. I went through the process of getting rid of whoever I could who appeared to be suspicious or was inactive and just lurking when this person outed themselves. Since that point, it seemed like the Discord was safe and things were fine, but also since then, the original Elena Taber subreddit has only gotten worse. 

 

Initially, when I made my blog private, they started rumors about why it was taken down. Various things like because I was in legal trouble, or Elena made me take it down, or Tumblr erased it for "violating" rules. Every weird excuse (and false) accusation under the sun, which was what led me to put up a public post explaining that none of their lies were the case, and I hid it myself. Then came the complaints by these same people that I removed my blog, despite (at the same time) complaining that I am a dangerous stalker (or whatever). 

 

There has also been a consistent problem with the r/elenataber subreddit where they repeatedly and viciously accuse me of being accounts that I have nothing to do with. In the fandom, there are multiple accounts of people who openly criticize Elena. The most notoriously well-known ones are a blog called AllAboutJCB and a Tiktok/Twitter account known as TaberInfluencer. It is highly probable these accounts are run by the same woman (who isn't me). However, it should be obvious that this woman (or if they are two different people, these women) is not me because of several factors. The first of which is that they defend Jamie's ex-partner Jess Moloney (when I never have), and they don't speak fluent English (which I do). It should be abundantly clear based on these two facts alone that I don't run these accounts. Yet, on that subreddit they continue to insist that I do run those accounts; they will ban anyone who points out that I do not run those accounts, and they constantly attribute things that those accounts' posts to things that I have posted, including things I have openly condemned being posted. For example, TaberInfluencer has doxxed Jamie and Elena multiple times (and on several occasions threatened both of them and has openly asked people to go find and attack them). Something that I immediately condemned when it happened and have repeatedly said that it's not okay to do that. I also reported her accounts when she did that, and she was banned from IG for doing it. Yet, the r/elentaber subreddit is very intent on continuing this campaign of misinformation that I did these things when I have not done these things and will not let anyone correct this narrative for some reason. 

 

Recently, I put up a post in my own subreddit, which is called r/elenataberhub. The post was a PSA about this behavior, again, because it has not stopped. This is what the PSA said, by the way:

In addition to this, I put up a TikTok addressing this same exact topic and explaining the situation and why I would not be posting to TikTok or Instagram anymore. It is essentially for this reason. This is what led the original r/elenataber subreddit to put up the dumbest post against what I said that I want to address now. You can find the original post at this link, but I want to address it point by point.

This next part of their statement is laughable considering what I've already discussed. The fact that they not only went out of their way to get my first and private subreddit banned because they couldn't control what was in it, but they sent spies into my private Discord to attempt to do the same thing. No place for stalking, harassment, or obsessive behavior? They are the ones who are stalking, harassing, and obsessively following me around, even into private spaces where they are absolutely not invited, but they think they are entitled to do this anyway for God only knows what reason. 

This is also completely untrue. What they consider "attacking" members of their subreddit is correcting misinformation they are posting. For example, a friend of mine was banned for replying to someone accusing me of running accounts I don't run and saying that I don't run those accounts. This person was completely civil about it. All they said was, "Athena is not connected to those accounts; please stop spreading this rumor" (they said that because this rumor is repeated a thousand times over through that entire subreddit, and those people do nothing to stop it, which leads to brigading against me for things I haven't done). Yet the person who defended me was banned for "harassment" while the person who posted the rumor was left alone and the rumor remains up to this day; every example of that rumor remains up to this day. This isn't the only example of people being banned just for telling the truth. People point out that the subreddit, which is supposed to be about Elena snark, has become more about defending Elena. People are pointing out that the subreddit that is supposed to be about Elena snark has become about trashing Jamie. People have pointed out that the subreddit that is supposed to be about Elena snark is now about posting constant misinformation and unverified rumors (such as Elena and Jamie are going to move in together in London). All of this was refuted civilly, and all of it was considered "harassment" by the r/elenataber mods because it's the truth and they don't like being called out for posting misinformation. What they are calling attacks and harassment are people correcting misinformation on their subreddit and nothing more than that. 

 

The rest of the post basically repeats the same claims, worded differently, and justifies why their behavior (while extremely similar to my own behavior) is better than mine and how they are allowed to police whoever they want because "reasons" and not much else. However, it gets more concerning when you get into the comments. As I mentioned above, months ago, there was a point where they were sending spies into my private Discord. A problem that I believed had been taken care of, but that was proven incorrect yesterday in this comment:

Here I would like to address some of the statements made in this reply that are extremely concerning and once again prove my point about what I have been saying already. These people are obsessively stalking me anywhere that I go, including a private conversation they aren't invited to. This person mentions that I am proud of my own private Discord. Which, for one, I have never stated, ever, but even if I had, I don't see what the problem with being proud of my own group is? In any case, what I actually said was that I was GLAD that I made a private Discord to discuss this because I was done posting publicly because of people like this, who insist on censoring me, spying on me, policing me, and banning me for doing little to nothing wrong. Not that I was proud of my Discord in general. They also say that "They won't stop if/when Jamie and Elena break up and just move on to the next one") Which for one, is grossly misrepresenting what I actually said and, for two, was only said the day before this person posted this comment. 

 

What I actually said and what they seem to have a problem with is this (not verbatim):

 

I said the people of the r/elenataber subreddit have a god complex and get off on being able to control information, and whoever posts there, but when Jamie does break up with Elena, their subreddit will die since no one will care about her enough anymore to keep posting there. Conversely, my Discord is just a Discord, and when Elena isn't Jamie's girlfriend anymore, we can just change the topic of the Discord and continue our little community discussing whatever we want. I did not say we would harass whoever he dated next. I did not say we would dox/bother whoever he dated next. My point in what I had said was that I liked that we had built a small, tight-knit community and that it could continue to be a place for discussion even after Elena goes away because it's nice to have like-minded people to talk with about fandom-related things. This person, purposefully, took what I said and twisted it to sound far more sinister than it actually was meant to be if you know the context in which I said it. The fact that I said it the very day before this person made this comment means they are either in the Discord now, still spying on us, or they are in contact with someone in the Discord reporting back to them. All of this while continuing to claim they are the ones against stalking and harassment. Does this make any sense? No. It doesn't. 

 

Currently, the problem they seem to have with me is this: 

 

• I post the same exact information and opinions they post, but I don't do it in the "right way," which makes me some kind of crazy stalker 
• The people who participate in my subreddit post the exact same information and opinions they post, but they don't do it "the right way," which makes them some kind of crazy stalkers 
• That harassment and stalking is wrong, but when they are harassing and stalking members of my subreddit and Discord and me, under the guise of "protecting" people from something? Protecting Elena? Protecting the public? I don't know, but they seem to think that their harassment and bullying is some kind of public service instead of just being really creepy 
• They want to make sure that at all costs I am not allowed to have any opinion about Elena or Jamie anywhere on the internet, including in a private Discord, public Subreddit, my own social media, or blog, but they are allowed to do this because they do it "the right way" and I do not. 
• They want to do everything they can to not allow me to access my own subreddit, which they have currently gotten me banned from (and is run by alternate moderators). 
• They want to be the only source of information on this (most of it misinformation) and they want to be the only authority on this under the guise of being the "bigger people" when, in fact, their behavior proves they are the lowest forms of life on the internet. 

 

If you recall, what I said about my PSA (which came before theirs), all I said was that if people are posting in the r/elenataber subreddit, stealing my sources and also trashing me at the same time (that's the important part), they are not welcome in my subreddit. I absolutely did not say that people who post in both that subreddit and mine were banned. I gave specifics. However, this led them to start banning every single person who posts in my subreddit under the claim that I am banning anyone who posts in their subreddit (which I absolutely am not doing). I know that not everyone who posts in r/elenataber is bashing me or stealing my material. I only said the people who were doing that were not welcome in my subreddit, yet, once again for the millionth time, they have taken something completely fair and balanced that I have said and twisted it into something that it was never meant to be. 

 

At the end of the day, the truth here is that they do have a God complex. They do want to be the end-all and be-all authority on this information and not let anyone else do it if they don't approve of how it is done. They actively endorse stalking and harassment if they wrongly believe it is for "the greater good". They believe any correction of their misinformation is harassment or an attack, but they do not believe harassing or attacking me or my subreddit is harassment. In my previous post, I discussed the toxicity of not only Jamie Bower but of his fandom as a whole, and this r/elenataber subreddit is merely an extension of that existing toxicity. They believe they own Jamie. They believe they own Elena. They believe they are the only people allowed to be in charge of the information posted about Jamie and Elena. They believe anyone who presents facts and opinions that don't exactly align with their own needs to not only be stopped and censored, but also stalked and harassed; they feel too paranoid to run a private conversation that they are not entitled to be in. This is gross, obsessive, creepy, stalker, loser behavior, and it needs to be addressed. I know they will find this article because they obsessively watch everything I do (even though they constantly give the "advice" that if you don't like what you are seeing, you should stop looking at it), and I know they will complain (once again) that they have been called out on this toxic behavior, but I don't care. It is just the truth. They are wrong about everything and hellbent on demonizing anyone who isn't in their specific clique that parrots the same specific nonsense about Elena and Jamie that they want to be parroted because what they don't want is a discussion; what they want is a dictatorship. So, to the mods and contributors of the r/elenataber subreddit, I say this: 

 

If you don't like what I post, don't read it. If it's so unhinged, don't steal it. If you don't want to be a part of my group, don't join my Discord and spy on it. Take your own advice, keep to your own little bubble where no one ever tells you how wrong you are, leave me out of it, and let me run my subreddit again. Why are you so threatened by what I post if it is so wrong and so unhinged? Why give me the time of day? Leave me alone, as I have left you alone, and get a fucking life. When your subreddit is dead, and it will die (give it a few months), I hope you'll realize none of this was ever that serious in the first place, and the only actual problem here was caused by you and your little clique. Not mine.
